Website optimization and redesign

Your website will be optimized to attract more of the visitors that you want, make the site more usable and more productive for both you and your visitors. A website can be designed to be the most attractive interactive site or the highest ranked site for some keywords. However, if the keywords do not attract people who are interested in your site, the graphics and flash make the site take forever to load, or visitors cannot find what they are looking for on the website - then if few visitors donate, buy or do whatever you want them to do, then it is not an effective (trenchant) website.

Websites are hosted and maintained. If you wish to establish a blog (including as an effective viral marketing tool) assistance can be provided for setting up the blog, content and posting etc. All hosted websites will be monitored frequently, and problems such as broken links fixed. Small changes to your site are included in the hosting fee.

Logo design

Logos are an effective way to brand your business. An icon (favicon) that is displayed in bookmarks or favorites, address and tab bar will be provided.

Optimization for search engines

Websites will be designed to be search engine friendly so that the content of all pages (excluding those with secure content) are fully indexed by all search engines. There are a significant number of websites out there that are totally invisible to search engines due to the way they are designed, and for many others only parts of pages and sites can be crawled by spiders. For long term optimization, strategies such as link building will be employed.

Suitable keywords

Keywords that are suitable and appropriately placed in both text and tags will be used. During development of the website, the choices of keywords with the pro’s and con’s of the different choices will be discussed.

Usability

This is an important consideration. Everybody has had experiences where they have given up with a website because they could not find the information they needed or figure out how to buy what they wanted. Getting somebody to your website is only a part of optimization of the site, they need to be able to easily to find information, subscribe, donate, buy or whatever the purpose(s) of the website. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the site will be designed to be fully accessible for persons using screen readers or have other needs.

Good graphic design has minor importance for optimization. When was the last time whether a site looked pretty or not, influenced your choice to buy from that site? That said, a website that has an attractive layout adds to visitors positive experiences and may make the site more memorable. Sites will be designed to be distinctive, but the major focus will be on making the site effective.

Advice and help with monitoring site traffic

Analysis of statistics (metrics) includes a range of parameters such as numbers of visitors, numbers of repeat visits, percentages of conversions, home page exit rate etc. This will establish how many visitors on entering stay in the site, where there are problems within the site, do visitors make several visits before doing any action etc.

Increasing and maintaining links

Recently, linking both internally and externally has become an increasingly important factor for several search engines in particular Google. Strategies for increasing links will be part of ongoing website maintenance or website optimization processes.
